CakeCue

Privacy notice

A plain-language explanation of what CakeCue stores and why, for anyone whose information a cake shop has entered into CakeCue.

What CakeCue stores

When a cake shop adds you as a customer, CakeCue may store your name, phone number, and the dates and notes for occasions the shop wants to remember for you — for example a birthday, an anniversary, or a note about a past order.

Why we store it

This information exists so the shop can remind itself to reach out to you — for instance, to send you a message on your birthday or anniversary. CakeCue is a tool the shop uses to run its own reminders; it is not used for advertising or shared with other businesses.

Whose data this is

This data belongs to the cake shop that entered it, not to CakeCue. CakeCue simply provides the software the shop uses to keep track of its own customers.

How long it's kept

Information is kept for as long as the shop keeps it in CakeCue. If the shop deletes a client record, that client's occasions and reminders are removed at the same time.

Correcting or deleting your information

If you'd like your details corrected or removed, please contact the cake shop directly — they hold the record and can update or delete it in CakeCue on your behalf.

Questions about CakeCue itself (not about a specific shop's records) can be sent to privacy@cakecue.app.
